RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLICS WORKS AND HIGHWAYS TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE TRAFFIC SIGNS AT SCHOOL ZONES ALONG THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the Maribojoc Municipal Government is always at the look for the safety of the townfolks, particularly the school children.

WHEREAS, it is observed that volume of traffic today is increasing and vehicles passing through the National Highway are operating at the high speed, endangering the lives of the school children at school zones;

WHEREAS, it is also observed that there are no traffic signs installed at school zones, when in fact, most of the schools coastal barangays of Maribojoc, Bohol are located adjacent to the National Highway;

WHEREAS, the presence of signs can get attention of drivers and make regulate their speed;

WHEREFORE, be it resolved, to request the Department of Public Works and Highways to provide appropriate Traffic Signs at School Zones at Barangays of San Vicente, Anislag, Poblacion, Bood, Guiwanon, and Punta Cruz, Maribojoc, Bohol.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to request the Department of Public Works and Highways to provide traffic signs at Municipal Proper, Maribojoc, Bohol to regulate the speed at the busy streets of the town proper.

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Department of Public Works and Highway, Office of the LTC, Office of the DILG for proper action.
