AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF FIVE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY SEVEN AND FIFTY CENTAVOS (5,197.50) TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE 1993 SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL TREASURER TO DISBURSE THE SAME FOR THE PAYMENT OF BACK WAGES OF MR. ELEUTERIO C. RACINES.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 16, 81 and 447 (1), (IX) of the Local Government Code of 1991, it is incumbent upon the Municipal Government to exercise its utmost best to see to it that all its employees shall be paid what is due and legitimately earned by them;

WHEREAS, Mr. Eleuterio Racines was hired in July, 1992 as Barangay Road Maintenance Foreman, as a replacement of Melchor R. Castillon who resigned in July, 1992 and during his employment he received wages from the Department of Public Works and Highways, 1st District, Tagbilaran City;

WHEREAS, upon assumption of Mr. Castillon’s responsibility by Mr. Eleuterio Racines there was no more operation in so far as Barangay road Maintenance is concerned, therefore budget for road maintenance was out-off;

WHEREAS, in august, 1992 Mr. Eleuterio Racines was designated as Building Official in the Municipality of Maribojoc as much he rendered services for the Municipal Government of Maribojoc starting July, 1992 up to and inclusive August to December, 1992 or a total of 115½ working days at P45.00 per day;

WHEREAS, it is the primary responsibility of the Municipal Government to settle its obligation accordingly; and

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Province of Bohol, that:

SECTION: 1. It is hereby set aside as appropriated funds for the purpose of
paying Mr. Eleuterio Racines in the amount of Five Thousand One Hundred Ninety Seven Pesos and Fifty Centavos (P5,197.50) representing back wages for services rendered from July, 1992 to December, 1992 inclusive or a total of 115½ days at the rate of P45.00 per day.

SECTION: 2. The Municipal Treasurer is hereby authorized to disburse the
amount as indicated in Section 1, in order to settle the obligation of the Municipal Government of Maribojoc to Mr. Eleuterio Racines. It is understood that all necessary supporting papers like The Daily Time Record duly signed and approved by the Chief Executive, others must first be obtained before actual payment is made.

SECTION: 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
