AN ORDINANCE DECLARING A PORTION OF STA. CRUZ STREET IN POBLACION, MARIBIJOC, BOHOL AS ONE-WAY STREET AND ESTABLISHED THE SAME AS PARKING AREA FOR BUSES AND JEEPNEYS ROUTING MARIBOJOC-TAGB ILARAN AND PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATION THEREOF.

WHEREAS, every Local Government Unit shall exercise the power to promote the safety, maintain peace and order and preserve the comfort and convenience of her inhabitants and other which are essential for the promotion of the general welfare as well;

NOW, THEREFORE

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Province of Bohol, that;

Sec.1- A portion of Sta. Cruz Street is hereby declared as ONE_WAY for all types of motorized vehicles from corner San Vicente and Sta. Cruz Sts. To corner Redulla and Sta. Cruz Streets from 6:00 A.M to 5:00 PM daily.

Sec.2- There shall be ONE-SIDE PARKING along the established parking area from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. All buses and jeepneys for hire bound for Tagbialran shall park along the side of Mr. Francisco Escabarte’s residence.

Sec.3- All drivers of buses and jeepneys will park their vehicles two (2) feet apart afrom each other.

Sec.4- Rules and Regulation:

a.) The parking area shall be used exclusively for buses and jeepneys routing to Maribojoc to Tagbilaran vice versa.
b.) All buses and jeepneys routing Maribojoc to Tagbilaran shall follow the “tornohay” system, after first registering and paying their parking fee.
c.) Passenger buses and jeepneys coming from Tagbilaran may round along circumferential road in Poblacion to unload passenger and cargoes.
d.) Passenger buses and jeepneys can not park anywhere in the streets of Poblacion to wait for passenger except on the specified parking area.
e.) A billboard shall be posted listing the sequence of the buses and jeepneys to run their respective route and time.
Sec.5- This ordinance shall be posted on a billboard at a very conspicuous place of the parking area.

Sec.6- For any violation pf this ordinance, a fine of Three Hundred Pesos (P300.00) but not more than One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) or an imprisonment of five (5) days but not more than ten (10) days or both such fine and imprisonment shall be impose at the discretion of the court.

Sec.7- An ordinance or provisions of an ordinance inconsistent herewith is deemed repealed and or modified accordingly.

Sec.8- This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
