AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY FROM THE LETTERING AND VANDALISM WITHIN THE COMPOUND OF THE PUNTA CRUZ HISTORICAL WATCH TOWER AND PARK FOR CLEANLINESS AND BEAUTIFICATION PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Punta Cruz Historical Watch Tower and Park is one of the tourist spots in the Province of Bohol whereby foreign as well as domestic tourists will spend their sight seeing tour while they are in Bohol for relaxation purposes;

WHEREAS, some of our young boys who have a chance to enter within the compound of the tourism project at Punta Cruz could easily use something to destroy, engrave the walling of the buildings as well as the trunk of the trees for whatever purposes they are signed for;

WHEREAS, the cleanliness of the surroundings of the Historical Watch Tower should be maintained so that the visitors who happen to visit the place will be amused and attracted by the natural beauty of the area which is overlooking the Maribojoc seawaters with the background of the mountain ranges of far Cebu Province;

WHEREAS, under the Local Government Code ( BP 337 ) Local Government Units are empowered to regulate the use of property in favor of promoting public welfare, Sec. 208 ( a ) & ( b );

WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing premises, be it resolved by the Sanggniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol;

Sec. 1 – That the compound of the Punta Cruz Historical Watch Tower and Park shall be protected from vandalism and lettering in any form which can cause an ugly sight of the incoming visitors of the tourism park.

Sec. 2 – To protect and preserve the beauty of the Historical Watch Tower and Park, lettering and vandalism are prohibited within the compound for cleanliness and beautification purposes.

LET copies be furnished the Provincial Budget Officer, City of Tagbilaran thru the Municipal Budget Officer and Municipal Treasurer, Maribojoc, Bohol for kind consideration and approval.
