A RESOLUTION CREATING THE DISASTER RELIEF COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Local Government to protect the inhabitants of the Municipality from the harmful effects of man-made or natural disasters and calamities;

WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Local Government to adopt measures to return the victims to productive livelihood following said events;

WHEREAS, the creation of the Disaster Relief Council could accelerate the execution and delivery of such duties and services towards the victims;

WHEREAS, this Council shall be chaired by the Municipal Executive Officer;

WHEREAS, the membership of the Council requires all the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, the Municipal Health Officer, Rural Sanitary Inspector, PNP Chief Officer, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, and heads of local civic organizations;

WHEREAS, the life of this Council shall be coterminous with the term of the Local Executive organizations;

WHEREFORE, be it resolved, as it is hereby resolved to create a Disaster Relief Council in our Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Rural Health Officer, Rural Sanitary Inspector, PNP Chief Officer, MPDC and DILG for information and guidance.
