RESOLUTION TO LAUNCH A BACKYARD GARDENING CONTEST IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL AND DESIGNATING THE OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL AGRICULTURIST (DA) AS THE LEAD AGENCY TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol is an agricultural town wherein farm families are the core of socio-economic developmental thirsts;

WHEREAS, 70% of the population of the town are in the rural area whereby the families can earn their living through agriculture;

WHEREAS, there is a need to motivate the farm families to be cohesive group in order to produce more farm outputs since the family is the basic unit of our society;

WHEREAS, our objective is to recognize the performance of farm families engaged in agricultural project in order to strengthen the farm family approach in agricultural development;

WHEREAS, the criteria and guidelines of the backyard gardening contest will be prepared and dessiminated by the office of the Municipal Agriculturist ( DA ) to the Barangay Officials and the residents of the Barangay for their information and guidance;

WHEREAS, handsome prizes will be awarded to the winners of the contest during the month of November of every year as a reorganization of the fruits of their toil;

BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to launch a backyard gardening contest in every barangay of the Municipal Maribojoc, Bohol and designating the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist to be the lead agency in the implementing of the project.

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist ( DA ), the Barangay Captains and other contented for the implementation, guidance and implementation.
