AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL TREASURER OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL TO DISBURSE AN AMOUNT OF SIX THOUSAND PESOS (P6,000.00) OUT OF THE 20% DEVELOPMENT FUND – YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FUND, C.Y. 2008 AS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR MARK SAMARGO OF LINCOD SK BASKETBALL TEAM IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Federation of Sangguniang Kabataan of Maribojoc, Bohol has sponsored a Summer Basketball League in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol for the Youth Development Sports Program of the town;

WHEREAS, the Summer Basketball League was participated by the different SK Teams of the different barangays of Maribojoc, Bohol;

WHEREAS, one of the participating teams is the Lincod SK Basketball Team;

WHEREAS, when the Lincod SK Basketball Team played on the evening of April 22, 2008 at the Maribojoc Cultural Center, SK player of Lincod, Mark Samargo was injured seriously during the game when he met an accident during the course of the game;

WHEREAS, he was brought to Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital for confinement due to his fractured arm and the hospital authorities has billed him for not less than P20,000.00;

WHEREAS, the accident needs proper attention and financial support of the Municipal Federation of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Maribojoc, Bohol;

WHEREAS, the SK Federation of Maribojoc, Bohol wishes that an amount of P6,000.00 will be given to Mark Samargo as financial assistance for his hospitalization of the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital, Tagbilaran City;

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;

BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to authorize the Municipal Treasurer of Maribojoc, Bohol to disburse an amount of P6,000.00 out of the 20% Youth Development Fund, C.Y. 2008 as financial assistance for Mark Samargo of Lincod Basketball Team;

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished, Mrs. Anastacia Arocha, Municipal Treasurer, Mrs. Gemma Ocular, Municipal Account and Mayor Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr. Maribojoc, Bohol for this kind consideration of this financial assistance.
