RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COCKFIGHTING ACTIVITIES IN THE MARIBOJOC COCKERS COCKPIT ON NOVEMBER 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 1992 SPONSORED BY THE MARIBOJOC COCKER’S COCKPIT IN CONNECTION WITH THE CELEBRATION OF THE TOWN FIESTA.

WHEREAS, the Management of the Maribojoc Cocker’s Circle has requested the Sangguniang Bayan to approve the cockfighting activities at the Maribojoc Cockers Cockpit, San Vicente, Maribojoc, Bohol on November 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 1992 in connection with the celebration of the Annual Town Fiesta of the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol;

WHEREAS, the Management of the Cockpit will sponsor cockfighting activities in order to entertain fiesta visitors who will be in Maribojoc to attend the fiesta celebration;

WHEREAS, the legislative body after consultation and the study of the proposed resolution has found out that the proposal has merit and within the jurisdiction of the municipality per provision of the Local Government Code of 1991;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol wishes to remind the Management of the Maribojoc Cocker’s Cockpit on the provisions of the Provincial Tax Ordinance on Amusement imposing a 30% on gross gate receipts of any activity for this purpose;

WHEREAS, the same body wants that the Management shall prohibit minors to enter and participate in the cockfighting activities on the above mentioned dates;

WHEREAS, all other fees imposed by the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol shall be paid by the Management of the Cockpit per provision of the provisions of the Municipal Ordinance;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Treasurer’s Office shall deputize an employee of the said office to ever see and check the tickets issued at the gate of the cockpit;

WHEREAS, all tickets to be used during the cockfighting activities shall be registered in the Municipal Treasurer’s Office for accounting purposes;

BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to approve the cockfighting activities in the Maribojoc Cocker’s Cockpit on November 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 1992 sponsored by the Maribojoc Cocker’s Circle in connection with the celebration of the Annual Town Fiesta.

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished, the Philippine Gamefowl Commission, Cebu City for their guidance and appropriate action.
