REQUESTING HON. MARGARITO “GARY” B. TEVES, SECRETARY, DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, MANILA FOR A FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE MARIBOJOC PUBLIC MARKET IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC.

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol is a fifth town whose Public Market is dilapidating which ought to be reconstructed for the safety of the people and the businessman;

WHEREAS, the LGU-Maribojoc has applied for a loan with the Land Bank of the Philippines, Tagbilaran Branch in the amount of Fifteen Million Pesos (P15,000,000.00);

WHEREAS, the amount of P15,000,000.00 is not enough to fully reconstruct the entire Public Market;

WHEREAS, the amount being applied for loan can complete the reconstruction for the block tiendas, the carenderias and fish and meat section only;

WHEREAS, the other buildings inside the Public Market are not included in this amount;

WHEREAS, the local Administration of LGU-Maribojoc is searching for additional funds for the reconstruction of the Public Market;

WHEREAS, the Maribojoc officials have no other recourse than to seek financial assistance from the Department of Finance thru the Honorable Secretary “Gary” B. Teves whose family root is from Dipatlong, Maribojoc, Bohol;

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled.

BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to request Hon. Margarito “Gary” B. Teves, Department of Finance, Manila for financial assistance for the reconstruction of the Maribojoc Public Market, in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol;

BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished, Honorable Margarito “Gary” B. Teves, Department of Finance, Roxas Blvd. cor. Ocampo St., Manila for his appropriate action.
