RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES TO CANCEL THE CADASTRAL SURVEY OF GEODETIC ENGR. SURLITO CATIG IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the Cadastral Survey contracted by Engr. Surlito Catig in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol sometimes in 1983 to 1984 is held pending in the Bureau of Lands Regional Office, Cebu City;
WHEREAS, there lot surveys in most barangays of Maribojoc, Bohol are deemed erroneous;
WHEREAS, there are still lots not surveyed and other lots surveys are incomplete;
WHEREAS, the contract period has long been terminated and the contractor was even given ten (10) months extension to correct and completed the said survey but the extension has long terminated;
WHEREAS, until now the survey returned have not been verified and checked by the Regional Office, Bureau of Lands, Cebu City;
WHEREAS, if this problem is not attended to at the earliest time, the land owners who are very diserous to have their lots titled will have continous discontentment against our government;
BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to request the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to cancel the cadastral survey of Geodetic Engineer Surlito Catig in the Municipality of Maribojoc,Bohol so that the Sangguniang Bayan of this municipality could make a contract with the Bureau of Lands or any reliable Geodetic Engineer to resurvey the whole municipality.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to request the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to give immediate and favorable action.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that the copies of this resolution be furnished, the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Manila; the Regional Director, Bureau of Lands, DENR, Region VII, Cebu City; the District Officer, CENRO Tagbilaran City for their inpormation and appropriate action.
