AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A BIDDING DOCUMENTS FEE FOR ALL BIDDERS AND AUTHORIZING THE BIDS AND AWARDS COMMITTEE (BAC) TO OPEN THE BIDDING ENVELOPES AS SCHEDULED FOR THIS PURPOSE.

Preliminary Notes
WHEREAS, the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) of the LGU is empowered to conduct a meeting for bidding of the different projects to be implemented in the municipality;
WHEREAS, bidding documents are prepared by the Bids and Awards Committee in order to distribute to the interested bidders to participate in the bidding;
WHEREAS, the volume of the documents will vary in its volumes wherein small and big projects are to be bidded and it will depend also as to the number of bidders who will participate in the bidding process;
WHEREAS, in order to be fair for all bidders, it is necessary that all bidding documents should be paid by the participating bidders;
WHEREFORE be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:
SECTION 1: There is hereby imposed a bidding documents fee for all bidders who will participate in the bidding process in the LGU-Maribojoc.
SECTION 2: All bidding documents shall be obtained from the Secretariat of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).
SECTION 3: A bidder shall pay the following to wit:
a.) P500.00 for materials supply only
b.) P500.00 for labor services only
c.) P1,500.00 for materials and labor of the project for the bidding documents/papers as payment of the documents payable at the Municipal Treasurer’s Office before bidding papers are released.
SECTION 4: The bidding of the materials and labor of a particular projects shall be
conducted by the Bids and Awards Committee as scheduled to be presided over by the Chairman of BAC and in the absence of the Chairman, the members will choose among themselves to act as the Presiding Officer of the scheduled meeting of BAC in order to realize the bidding process.
SECTION 5: Repealing Clause.- All local ordinances, acts, decreases, executive orders, memoranda, proclamations and regulations or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with any of the provisions of this ordinance are modified accordingly.
SECTION 6: Effectivity.- This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
