AN ORDINANCE REGULATING ANY EXHIBIT OF TALENTS, SKILLS, ARTS AND CRAFTS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY WITHOUT PRIOR PERMIT ABD AUTHORITY FROM THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

Preliminary Notes

WHEREAS, tourism in the province is at its boom with both local and foreign entities:

WHEREAS, entertainment in several forms are introduce to give highlights and attractions in some barangays in the municipality;

WHEREAS, there are endeavors who wish to exhibit talents and the like without notifying the Local Government Unit of Maribojoc, Bohol;

WHEREFORE, be enacted by the Sangguniang Bayan session duly assembled.

SECTION 1: Title.-. This ordinance shall be known as “An ordinance regulating any exhibit of talents, skills, arts and crafts within the Municipality of Maribojoc without prior permit and authority from the Local Government Unit of Maribojoc, Bohol:

SECTION 2: Definition of Terms.-

a. Regulating – to direct, manage, control according to certain rules, principles and etc.

b. Exhibit – means to display publicly, to present, to expose, to a show, or an act of instant presentation for enjoyment, entertainment whether for free or with a pay.

c. Talent – means ability, a special often creative or artistic aptitude, or the natural endowment of a person.

d. Skill – means ability to use one’s knowledge effectively in doing something either developed or acquired ability.

e. Craft – means an occupation requiring special skill

f. Permit – means a written permission or license from the proper authority

g. Endeavor – an attempt or effort to do or attain something.

SECTION 3: Purpose.-. This ordinance is enacted for the general welfare of the Local Government Unit and the constituents of the people of Maribojoc, Bohol. It has three-fold specific purposes, namely:

a. In order that endeavors of exhibiting talents, arts and crafts be made known and be authorized by local officials of Maribojoc, Bohol so as to ensure their protection and safety;

b. In order that the Local Government Unit of Maribojoc can evaluate thru the Committee on Education and Culture the exhibits to be made and determine to whether or not is acceptable to the constituents of the people of Maribojoc.

c. In order that the LGU-Maribojoc can earn its share from the proceeds of such exhibits of talents, skills, arts and crafts.

SECTION 4: Imposition of Fees and other relevant charges, requirements shall be applied prior to the granting of permit pursuant to the provisions stated in the Revenue Code of the Municipality.-.

SECTION 5: Penal Clause.- Any violation of this ordinance shall be penalized as follows:

Fine of One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) or imprisonment for one (1) month at the discretion of the court.

SECTION 6: Repealing Clause.- Any existing ordinance inconsistent herewith is hereby repealed accordingly.

SECTION 7: Effectivity.- This ordinance shall be effective 30 days from the approval of the Local Chief Executive and the publication in newspaper of general circulation.
