AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY FISHING VESSELS USING ELECTRIC LIGHTING SYSTEM OR “GANTE” SUNSHINE TO FISH WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL WATERS OF FIVE (5) NAUTICAL MILES FROM THE SEASHORES OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

Be it ordained by the Municipal Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol that:

SECTION 1: It is unlawfull for any individual or group of persons with a fishing vessels / boat using an electric lighting system or “gante” sunshine to fish within the territorial waters of five (5) nautical miles from the seashores of Maribojoc, Bohol.

SECTION 2: That the distance of 5 nautical miles from any point of the seashores from Punta Cruz to Lincod shall be declared as Off-Limits for fishing boats using electric lighting system or “gante sunshine.

SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall take effect upon approval.

SECTION 4: That any person or group of persons who violate the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined of not less than P250.00 or not more than P500.00 or an imprisonment of not less than 12 days and not more tha 25 days or both at the discretion of the Court.
