AN ORDINANCE TO NUMBER ALL BUILDINGS OF WHATEVER TYPES, CLASSIFICATIONS, AND USES OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL WITH AN OFFICIAL HOUSE PLATE NUMBER PER BARANGAY AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THIS PURPOSE.

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:
SECTION 1: All buildings whatever make, type, uses and classification shall be provided by its owners official plate number for purposes of identification and registration.
SECTION 2: Definition of term: Buildings are contemplated herein are composed and classified as follows:
a. Residential – place of abode or residence
ex. Shanties, nipa hut, apartment & etc.
b. Commercial – buildings which are used for business purposes.
ex. Sari-sari store, display center, center for any product / services
c. Institution – buildings which are for public use.
ex. Church, hospital, school, chapel, auditorium, training center & etc.
d. Industrial – building unit or structure which are used for manufacturing or production processing of goods.
ex. rice / corn mills, warehouse, enclosed electrical
transformers and pump houses and etc.
e. Agricultural – house of structure which are used as shelter or abode of livestocks, food storage.
ex. poultry house, barn, pig stay, farm house
f. Recreation – houses for recreation purposes.
ex. Club house, beach house & etc.

SECTION 3: Acquisition, purchase of house plate number and its registration.
Official house plate number shall be acquired and purchased by house owners from the Municipal Treasurer’s Office thru the Barangay Council of each barangay. The house plate numbers shall be officially registered at the Office of the Municipal Assessor who shall maintain a registry book recording therein, the name and address of the house owner, the number of plate number purchase, classification of the house to be registered and other pertinent data needed. A certificate of registration shall be issued. It shall be the duty of the house owner to prominently install and display the house plate number and quote the number in all his official business and residential correspondences.
SECTION 4: Registration and other fees. The registration and other fees are as follows:
a. Purchase price of plate number – P10.00
variable depending on suppliers price
b. Registration fee – P5.00
The barangay government where the houses are to be numbered may require barangay registration fee of its own.
SECTION 5: Planning, Codification and Arrangement of Houses:
For purposes of codification, arrangement and planning of houses and structures, the Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, Municipal Assessor and the Municipal Treasurer shall make an agreement among themselves with the Municipal Assessor as the lead office.
SECTION 6: Funding for acquisition / production of house plate numbers.
In order to acquire the plate numbers, there is hereby appropriated from the Municipal Fund of the maintenance and operating expenses for 1992 an amount of P35,000.00 for the purchase of official plate number wherewith as the plate numbers are sold to house owners. The Municipal Treasurer is hereby authorized to release the funds needed.
SECTION 7: Penal provisions.
House owner of existing house/s who fail to register their houses within ninety days (90) from the implementation of this ordinance shall be fined the amount of P100.00 and or imprisonment of 2 days or both at the discretion of the amount of P100.00 and or imprisonment of two (2) days or both at the discretion of the court. In case of an institution or corporation, the Manager or the Chairman of the or its recognize minister shall be held responsible meter for penalties.
For the houses constructed and occupied after the approval of this ordinance, acquisition of plate number and subsequent registration shall be done within 90 days from its occupancy or use after which a penalty as herein stipulated shall be imposed.
SECTION 8: Separability Cluase.
Any provision or section of this ordinance declared null and void shall not affect the rest of the other provisions.
SECTION 9: Repealing Clause.
All previous ordinances, proclamations and executive orders not in conformity with this ordinance are hereby repealed and / or modified.
SECTION 10: Effectivity.
This ordinance shall take effect on June 01, 1992.
