AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol that:

Sec. 1 – A scholarship program is hereby establish in the Municipality of Maribojoc pursuant to the following constitutional provisions and Rules and Regulations of the Local Government Code of 1991, to wit:

c…..Art 100, paragraph ( X1 ) Rules and Regulations

Sec. 2 – The scholarship program shall be subject to the following:

a…..Municipal Mayor
b…..Committee on Education
c…..Municipal Treasurer
d…..Committee on Appropriation

Sec. 3 – The scholarship program shall be subject to the following rules and regulations:

a…..Any resident of the Municipality of Maribojoc who have resided at
least six months whose parents have an annual income of less than
P30,000.00 per annum or without any visible means of livelihood.

b…..Application should be accomplished with an income tax return of the
parents concerned.

c…..The scholarship grant shall be limited only to tuition fees of the entire
year.

d…..The scholarship grant shall be for high school and shall be limited
only five students.

e…..Qualified scholarship shall be chosen in a competitive examination
administered by the committee on education.

f…..The scholarship grant committee may propose supplementary rules in
order to achieve the goals of such ordinance.

g…..The funding of this ordinance may be taken from the appropriated
fund for fiscal year 1993 or from any augmentation fund from the
provincial and national governments.

Sec. 5 – To maintain the scholarship grant, the scholar must not have any failing grade in any subject during the periodic term or in a given semester. Scholars who have a failing grade in any grading period or in any given semester shall be automatically dropped as a scholar.

Sec. 6 – The scholar is given the option to enroll in any secondary level school public or private within the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.

Sec. 7 – The scholarship fee should be only P100.00 per month per scholar.
