AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE CATCHING OF “CASILI “ FISH IN ANY WATER SOURCES WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, personnel from the Department of Agriculture openly declared “casili “ fish to be of great help to preserve our water resources;

WHEREAS, the “casili” fish keeps the faults open and keeps the water pass freely through its usual passages into the catchments area and never divert to any other direction;

WHEREAS, the benefits earned by few from catching “ casili “ fish is in-equitable to the benefits enjoyed many if our water resources remain abundant;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Maribojoc, Bohol is doing all means just to preserve our water resources, to recover, if not; improve our decreasing water resources;

WHEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan that;

Sec.1- It shall be unlawful to any person or group of persons caught catching “ casili “ fish fro any water source and established water shed within 100 meters radius in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.

Sec.2- Any violation to this ordinance shall be fine of not less than Two Thousand Pesos (P2,000.00) pesos and an imprisonment of not less than fifteen days (15) or both at the discretion of the court.

Sec.3- It shall be the duty of every Barangay Resident to report to any barangay official in any violation thereof.

Sec.4- This ordinance shall be posted in every water resources of the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.

Sec.5- This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
