AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE SANITARY CONDITION AND UNKEEP WITHIN THE VICINITY OF BOLOC-BOLOC SPRING, JANDIG, MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the Local Government Code 1991, provides one of the specific duties of the Sangguniang Bayan, to provide for the establishment, operation, maintenance and repair of an efficient waterworks system to supply water for the inhabitants; regulate the construction, maintenance, repair and the use of hydrants, pumps, cistern and reservoirs, protect the purity and quantity of the water supply of the municipality and for this purposes extend the coverage of an appropriate ordinance over all territory within the drainage area of the said water supply and within one hundred (100) meters of the reservoir, conduit, canal, aqueduct, pumping station or water shed used in connection with the water service and regulate the consumption, use or wastage of water;

WHEREAS, there is a need to impose rules and regulations, regarding the Sanitary condition of the spring;

WHEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol that;

Sec.1- No person or group of persons shall use the fence (wire) around the intake tank, for the use of drying of clothes, or any commodity, like wet bags, shoes, rags for its cause the water to drip inside the water supply.

Sec.2- Urinating and disposing of human waste, within the Vicinity of Boloc-Boloc Spring is strictly prohibited.

Sec.3- Wrappers of shampoos, soaps, candies and biscuits, discarded clothing and papers and the likes must not be thrown anywhere must be placed in a designated place and trash cans.

Sec.4- Rinsing and cleansing of clothes from the soap used in washing must not be done near the in closed water for drinking.

Sec.5- Washing of baby diapers shall be done at the end portion of the washing area.

Sec.6- Pasturing, drinking and bathing of all kind of animals is strictly prohibited within 15 meters from the intake tank vicinity.

Sec.7- It shall be the duty of the pump operator and the Barangay Official of Jandig, Maribojoc, Bohol, to instruct and to inform the concern users of the spring about the ordinance, and to report to the authorities concerned in any violations.

Sec.8- Violation of this ordinance shall be fined not less than P500.00 and not more than P2,500.00 or an imprisonment of 5 days.

Sec.9- This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.

Let copies of this ordinance be furnished all Barangay Captains of Jandig, Dipatlong, Poblacion, Bood, Bayacabac and Lagtangon and be posted in public places for information and guidance.
