AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 4. MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 523, SERIES OF 1992.

WHEREAS. The Sangguniang Bayan shall make legislations that conform to the needs of the majority and conforms to the actual conditions of the affected;

WHEREAS, the sanitary condition of the public market is at risk when some lease holders insist to used their stall as living quarter;

WHEREAS, from series of consultation, it is a consensus proposal to prohibit anybody to stay in the public market during night time in order to upkeep the sanitary condition of the public market;

WHEREAS, Municipal Ordinance No.523, 4, allows one to two persons to spend the night at block tiendas and carenderia to safeguard their properties from calamities and robberies, which is seemed to be abused by the lease holders;

WHEREAS, The National Sanitary Code strongly prohibit the use of Public Markets as dwelling place;

WEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that;

Sec. 1 : The last sentence in Sec. 4, Municipal Ordinance No.523, Series of 1992, that says “ One to two persons maybe allowed to spend the night at block tienda and carenderias to safeguard their properties from calamities and robberies,” be deleted.

Sec. 2 : This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
