ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE SECTIONING AT THE MARIBOJOC PUBLIC MARKET, MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

Introduction
WHEREAS, the Maribojoc Public Market is the show window of the town and income generating entity of the Local Government Unit;
WHEREAS, in order to attract market goers, there is a necessity to arrange well all goods and items inside the public market;
WHEREAS, market sectioning for vendors in their display of items to be sold at the public market is imperative, in order to streamline the arrangement of display so that the people can easily locate their desired items to be bought;
WHEREAS, a comprehensive market sectioning should be adopted for guidance of the people;
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:
SECTION 1: Definition of Terms-.
a.) Comprehensive – Large in scope or content. Having the power of fully understanding or comprehending.
b.) Sectioning – Dividing or alienating one section from another.
SECTION 2: There are eight (8) main buildi8ngs being established inside the public market;
SECTION 3: The block tiendas, carenderias, and comfort rooms are located at the following areas, to wit:
a.) Two (2) buildings for block tiendas located fronting the San Vicente St.
b.) One (1) building for block tiendas located fronting the Echavez St.
c.) One (1) building for block tiendas located fronting the Redulla St..
d.) One (1) open building fronting the Redulla St.
e.) One (1) building formally occupied by DA Office fronting Redulla St.
f.) At the right portion of the market aret hye six (6) carenderias and the comfort rooms.
g.) One (1) building at the back of the block tiendas fronting Echavez St.
SECTION 4: There shall be sections on the following buildings, to wit:
a. The block around the public market shall be occupied by businessmen who are selling goods of different kinds;
b. Building No.1 inside the market at the back of the block tiendas facing San Vicente St. the following goods/items should be displayed to wit:
1. Right portion – Rice and Corn, Chucherias at the side
2. Left portion – Ukay-Ukay and other textile
c. Building No. II at the middle of the market – Section for vegetables, fruits, foods, dried fish, salted fish and others.
d. Building No. III – Small Stalls
Vendors who are selling vegetables, fruits, tuba & other beverages shall occupy in this building.
e. Building No. IV at the back of the block tiendas facing Echavez St. –Small Stalls shall be occupied by different kinds of items and merchandise.
f. Building No. V alongRedulla St. – Fish and Meat Sections (fronting Redulla St.)
g. Building No. VI – formerly DA Office (vacant) – facing Redulla St.
h. Building No. VII – Carenderia Section
i. Building No. VIII – Comfort Rooms
j. Open spaces between buildings – Ukay-Ukay, native products, displayed in the buildings.
1. along Echavez St. – Ukay-Ukay
2. Along Redulla St. – Native products
3. along Redulla St. adjacent to Fish section – Fish Section
SECTION 5: Prohibition: No businessmen, merchants, vendors are allowed to display and sell their goods and items for sale outside the areas specified for such goods or items.
SECTION6: Penalty.- Any person or group of persons who violates the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined of the following:
a.) first Offense – a fine of P 200.00
b.) Second Offense – a fine of P 500.00 or an imprisonment of One (1) day or both at the discretion of the court.
SECTION 7: Effectivity.- This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
Let copies be furnished to all vendors, businessmen and merchants at the public market for their guidance and information..
