RESOLUTION COMMENDING HON. REYNALDO R. VILLAS

WHEREAS, in line with the national, provincial and municipal governments’ thrust on the conservation and protection of the coastal resources; there are two (2) Marine Protected Area (MPA) identified and declared by the Local Government of Maribojoc at Maraag Marine Sanctuary by virtue of Municipal Ordinance No. 39, series of 2001 with a area of 12.26 ha. and at Punta Cruz Marine Protected Area (MPA) by the Local Government of Maribojoc by virtue of Municipal Ordinance No. 29, Series of 2004 with an area of 10 hectares;

WHEREAS, the establishment of a Marine Protected Area (MPA) is basically aimed to preserved, protect and conserve the coastal and fishery resources of the municipality and ensure their sustainable use for the benefit of the fisherfolks of Barangay Lincod, San Vicente and Anislag;

WHEREAS, this patrol boat, being a property of the municipality, must be covered with a necessary deed, before it shall be turned-over to the San Vicente Barangay Council for their use and custody;

WHEREAS, the Hon. Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr. being the local chief executive, is hereby granted authority to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the San Vicente Barangay Council, laying down in such instrument, specified terms and conditions upon which the use and management of such patrol boat must be anchored;

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, in its session duly assembled, to grant the Hon. Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr. authority to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the San Vicente Barangay Council for the Use of Patrol Boat;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished the Honorable Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr., Municipal Mayor, Maribojoc, Bohol, Engr Ma. Nenita R. Chiu, MPDO, the San Vicente Barangay Council, San Vicente, Maribojoc, Bohol and such other agencies involved for their information and prompt action.
